A Night Out in Tokyo

After a few more days of riding near Furano it was time to head back to the main island of Japan. For Ally, Megan, and Mike it was also time to say goodbye to Japan. Furano Japan It's a bit overwhelming being in one of the largest cities in the world. It was really cool at the same time, though. Tokyo is an impressive city. Temple in Tokyo. Tokyo Japan After saying goodbye, Tony and I played tourist a bit more before heading to Hakuba. We managed to navigate the extensive Tokyo subway system to Shibuya Crossing, which is Tokyo's version of Times Square. That put us both at our limit for spending time in a big city. Shibuya Crossing. Tokyo Japan We gathered all of our gear from the hostel and made our way to the train station to get on the Shinkansen to Nagano. That was my first time riding a high speed train. It was impressive how smooth and quiet the ride was at such a high rate of speed. It's definitely a nice way to travel. Shinkansen. Tokyo Japan Tony Aadland. Bus Ride. Nagano Japan From Nagano we took a bus to Hakuba, where we will spend a week riding the Japanese Alps. It is also dumping here right now! Looks like we might have some great pow days ahead of us!
