I Guess We'll Just Keep Riding Pow...

The title kind of says it all... We didn't necessarily get a major storm this week, but Tuesday-Friday offered up some really good pow runs. It was the final week of daily resort riding this season, so I took advantage of chairlifts for a change. The awesome conditions have allowed Snowbird Ski Patrol to open up the touring gate for the Twins on a fairly regular basis. Friday was another one of those days. We'd already made the decision to go ride Liam's Pension again after scoring it in pow last week. However, with Pipeline being closed, quite a few other people headed out to Liam's before us. It ended up working out though because we got to ride another spicier variation of it that we looked at the week before. The snow conditions were incredible. May has been super fun so far. Snowbird is now only open on weekends. With how deep our snowpack is, there's still a good amount of quality riding days to be had this season. The weather is looking good for some evening Baldy laps this week. After that it looks like we might get more snow and remain in an active pattern for the back half of May. I'm definitely not opposed to a few more pow days. Although it might make Jortski a tad chilly on Saturday...
