Pic of the Day: May 5
So I guess Murder Hornets are the crisis flavor of the week now. 2020 has really been just one giant dumpster fire, eh?
Still Going
Yesterday was another big day in the backyard. We went all the way up White Pine to Red Baldy to hopefully harvest some corn. Trail conditions are getting pretty thin down low. It won't be long till the approach from White Pine turns dry. The north side of Red Baldy never softened up, but an inch of new snow at least made the turns on the apron of Rock N Roll pretty fun.
While we were waiting for the softening that never occurred, we decided to ride off the south side of Red Baldy. That ended up being perfect corn. In this photo, Willie is topping out on Red Baldy after a sketchy ridge walk. A rad moment from a rad day. These big days in the mountains are pretty much the only thing keeping me sane right now. Hopefully we get a few more in before the price of admission really starts to go up in the coming weeks...
