Pic of the Day: May 6
Not sure how many more days I'll get in this season. It's melting quick. We have a cold front coming through tonight that should help give us a good refreeze the next couple nights. Looks like it's gonna get hot this weekend though. The transition to summer mode is in full swing...
Photographers Photographing Photographers
Driving down canyon today, I was looking up at Pink Pine and thinking about this day in January. It was a fantastic month. We got a shit ton of snow, the snowpack was really starting to gain strength, Covid wasn't yet a thing. Life was good.
Me, Croshane, and Jenny got out for a mellow Pink Pine lap this particular day. No real objectives in mind other than ripping some pow. Me and Croshane decided to play photographer tag on the upper half of our run. It was untouched and we both had our cameras, so we figured it would be fun to trade some shots.
I initially rode past the spot I wanted to shoot from so I had to wallow back up to my spot in waist deep pow. It was worth the short struggle-fest in the end. Croshane ripped a giant, fast turn right in the sweet spot. I knew we nailed it the second he started his turn. Jenny followed with an equally huge turn then we all party shredded back to the trailhead. Solid day.
