The Next Chapter

It's been a few weeks since I last did a blog post. I was extremely busy putting stuff together for a couple art shows as well as building the next chapter in this journey with my sister, who is a phenomenal web designer. I am proud to announce that as of April 30, Pfister Pfoto is now live. For the time being, my blog will continue here. Eventually it will be absorbed into the new website, where you can also buy super high quality prints from a lot of these adventures I talk about. Click this link to explore Pfister Pfoto. And while you're at it, bookmark the new site. When I last posted, we were in the midst of another massive storm cycle in the Wasatch. Then the meltdown began... The back half of April was characterized by above average temperatures and no precipitation. Lack of refreezes at night prevented multiple big days in the backcountry. Finally on the night of April 30, a storm came in and gave us 7 inches of fresh, and most importantly, a solid freeze-thaw cycle. Riding conditions have been incredible so far in May. The highlight has for sure been getting Liam's Pension at Snowbird from the summit of Red Stack in pow on the 4th. 364 days prior, we rode the same line in pretty good spring snow. However, we could not ride it from the top due to the incredibly low snow year. Getting her proper a year later was one of the highlights of this epic season. I'm still gonna keep riding, after all the streak must continue. I feel complete though as far as this season is concerned. Maybe there will be a big day or two peppered in the rest of the way. Really, I'm just excited to go do some sunset Baldy laps, do some pond skimming at Snowbird, jortski, and basically just goof off. Ride till it's dirt!
