Turns All Year Chapter 3 (and a half)

January: Month 111

I'm fully aware that February is almost over and I'm just now doing the January turns all year recap. It's been that kind of season I guess. So spoiler alert the streak is at 112 months now but whatever, I'll procrastinate doing that one till sometime in late March probably. 

January was an interesting month. It started out looking like winter was going to turn on in full force. Notsomuch. I'd say the first half was pretty good. Got the sled out a few times and did some powsurfing in the Uintas. Got White Pine Chute in blower pow. Then it got super cold and super dry. Not much to say beyond that honestly.

This season has been really strange. We'll get a big storm cycle then have very prolonged high pressure. No consistency whatsoever. The snowpack that seemed like it was starting to heal a month ago is now total fucking shit from that dry cold spell in January and a dry hot spell in early February. There also really hasn't been any snow in town. Pensacola, Florida has had more snow than I've had at my house this winter. 

It's a character building season for sure. February has had some good days, but I'll get into that next time.
